Programme outline
The Master's programme in Architecture consists of four terms of full-time study. The focus of the programme is the Architecture Design Studio. Within the Architecture Design Studio students complete two projects per term. In addition to the Architecture Design Studio projects, students take orientation courses and attend advanced level seminars in Architectural Technology and Architectural History and Theory. The last term of the two years Master's programme is dedicated to the design and development of a thesis project.
The degree project is an individual and self- defined architectural project on an advanced level. The degree project could be defined as the academic final of the programme. All projects are based on a booklet containing a self-developed programme description.
The overall aim of a diploma project work in architecture is to complete an architectural project, that considers and discusses an architectural topic, within a limited time. The work requires a clear purpose and should prove that the student has obtained a greater understanding for the architectural field.
• The degree project should have a clear purpose and thesis
• It should be a part of a greater academic context and should contribute to the development of the architectural field
• The project has to conduct itself to a given framework, but should preferably have a unique form or direction.
After the degree you will work with the development of architecture and our future society.
You will use aesthetic, structural, technical and intellectual skills for the design and development of interiors, buildings, urban contexts and cities and landscapes.
You can work within the public sector or in architecture firms, in different project constellations, or start your own business. The labour market is becoming more international.
