LUMES is a truly international and interdisciplinary master s programme on Environment and Sustainability. It is conducted in English, and it is open for students from all around the world with a Bachelor s degree in a relevant discipline, such as natural or social sciences, law, economics, engineering, forestry, agronomy, and medicine.

The multitude of academic backgrounds among students and faculty in conjunction with diverse cultural backgrounds gives this programme a very unique learning environment.

As a LUMES student, you will be challenged to broaden your perspectives and vitalize your critical thinking skills while being encouraged to seek new ways of learning and new approaches to problem solving.

The programme is designed to build on the knowledge, skills and experiences you already possess, with the intention of making you a LUMES graduate with the capacity to become a leading actor in the quest for a more sustainable world, locally as well as globally.
